DOS DON’TS
Installation Place the UPS on a stable, flat surface. Don’t stack devices on top of the UPS (blocks ventilation).
Ensure proper airflow (at least 3-9 centimetres of space around vents). Don’t install in humid or dusty environments (risk of short circuits).

  DOS DON’TS
Power Connection Use a surge-protected outlet for the UPS. Don’t plug the UPS into an extension cord (causes voltage drops).
Connect only essential devices. Don’t connect non-inductive loads, such as laser printers, air conditioners, or power tools.

  DOS DON’TS
Battery Care Perform a self-test monthly (if supported). Don’t let the battery discharge to 0% frequently (reduces lifespan).
Store spare batteries at 50% charge if unused. Don’t use non-approved replacement batteries.

  DOS DON’TS
Load Management Keep load at 50-80% of UPS capacity for efficiency. Don’t exceed the maximum load (check VA/Watt rating).
Use a power meter to monitor consumption. Don’t assume all outlets are battery-backed (check labels).

  DOS DON’TS
Maintenance Clean dust from vents every 3-6 months. Don’t use compressed air too close to circuits (static risk).
Replace swollen/leaking batteries immediately. Don’t ignore repeated beeping (indicates battery/overload issues).

  DOS DON’TS
During Outages Save work and shut down devices gracefully. Don’t keep devices running until the UPS dies (harms battery).
Use auto-shutdown software for servers. Don’t recharge the UPS while devices are still running (if possible).

  DOS DON’TS
Troubleshooting Reset the UPS after an outage (if it doesn’t auto-recover). Don’t bypass the UPS if it’s malfunctioning (risk of power surges).
Check circuit breakers if the UPS won’t turn on. Don’t attempt DIY repairs on lithium-ion batteries (explosion risk).
